Career in Army just after schooling, army jobs

Most students get confused about the career after completing the 10th standard. They themselves cannot decide what will be better for them and in which field the future will be bright. Career planning is needed for a better chance in the future. For this, different types of career options, information about oneself, decision making ability, future goals etc. play an important role. Keeping this in mind, we are going to give information about certain fields after 10th so that students can make decisions easier.

Special choices of 10th career

ITI-Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) and ITC-Industrial Training Centers (ITC), ITIs are government institutions while ITCs are private institutions. ITIs are training institutes run under the Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of India. Training is imparted in ITI and ITC in basic skills required for special trades such as electrician, machinist, fitter, plumber, turner, welder etc. The course duration is from one to three years. This duration depends on the trade.

After completing the course, the candidate can take practical training in his trade in an industry. The National Trade Certificate (NTC) is made available in the relevant trade by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). For this, all India Trade Test (AITT) has to be passed. These people can get a job after passing the written examination in government sectors like Indian Railways, Telecom Department etc.

Indian Army

After 10th, one can join the Indian Army in the post of soldier in technical trade. For this, a written examination has to be passed. Following are the names of examinations to be held for joining the army after 10th.

1. Indian Army Soldier Clerks Examination
2. Indian Army Soldier General Duty Examination (N.E.R.)
3. Indian Army Soldier Technical Examination (M.E.R.)
4. Indian Army Soldier Nursing Assistants (M.E.R.) Examinations etc.

Indian Navy

There are job opportunities in the Indian Navy as Dock Yard Apprentices, Sellers, Artificial Apprentices, etc. after 10th. For this, a written examination has to be passed.

Police force

Constable (tradesman) can be employed after 10th in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). For this, physical and written examination has to be passed.

SSC

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts clerk grade exams for those who have passed 10th standard.

other options

Students can take a 3-year engineering diploma course in polytechnics. Many short term courses in IT sector and other fields like web designing, animation, fashion designing etc. are available.
