Model Answer:

Air travel has become highly popular and it can easily be understood if we only look at the upcoming and departed number of flights. Since the air travel saves a great deal of time, most of the business persons today chose air travel prior to any other root. Travelling through the air has many advantages as well as many disadvantages.

On the one hand, reaching fast to the destination cannot be possible by using other modes of transport than an air transport can. This is because, people, especially who are well-known business executives need this route to reach to their destination fast as they have to manage their businesses which are out of the state or in foreign nations. For instance, travelling from India to the USA is quite impossible through road, ship or in any other vehicle and people in these cases have no alternative than to using an airway. If they will stop using the air services, they may face big losses.

In contrast, it is a good idea to stop the facilities of air transportation for near destinations. The reason for this is that, nowadays it has become a fashion for people to use airways even for a very short distance which is consuming large portion of world's reserve fuel and affecting the environment by polluting it. For example, when a destination takes only 2-4 hours through roads then the idea of travelling through air is pointless. If the short distance travelling will keeps on going in future also, the world may face the extinction of non-renewable sources quite soon.

In conclusion, it is advisable that government should apply stringent rules so that not only the airline companies but the environment can also get benefits.
