Many countries today are experiencing problems associated with noise pollution (excessive noise above a normal background noise.) What are the causes of this phenomenon, and what effects does it have on the people affected?

Explanation of the Task

This is an Ideas>Cause/Effect essay. You should introduce the topic, then suggest two or three causes,
plus two or three effects, and then summarize in the conclusion.

Remember that this type of Task is not asking for your opinion (eg whether you think noise pollution is important or not) but for some ideas about causes and effects. Notice that this particular Task does not ask you to suggest any solutions.

INTRO
Noise pollution is a less-discussed form of pollution, but one which can have depressing effects on the people. There seem to be several causes, and a number of effects, which this essay will discuss in upcoming paragraphs.

BP-1
On the one hand, possibly the main cause is the increased volume of traffic moving through and over our countries, especially in the urban areas. This is because the ever-rising use of road vehicles and aircraft leads to high noise levels throughout the day and night, which can be exacerbated by poor levels of sound insulation in homes, schools and other. For example, in India, count of cars and industries have almost become multiple times of what it was in 20th century. If the use of machinery for this purpose will not be regulated. It may results in increment in decibel levels of noise which can be dangerous for human beings.

BP-2
On the other hand, effects of this problem on people can be quite serious. The most prominent is that increased stress levels are experienced because of the difficulty in thinking properly with high background noise. The reason for this is that it can be especially damaging for children, whose academic performance can get affected in some cases. For instance, such cases can be seen in London or Moscow, where people suffer from intensive high levels of noise. If local people will start getting tired and demotivated of their studies and work, they would not be able to concentrate that is quite dangerous for them. Consequently, there is the long-term impact of depopulation, as people move away from flight paths and busy roads.

Conclusion
Overall, traffic and construction seem to be the main causes, and they affect both individuals and the movement of population in the areas affected.
